This app is a private map of the people you know. This page says what it collects, who sees it, who else handles it, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and a password or an emailed sign-in code.
• What you put in your map: names, photos, phone numbers, emails, birthdays, where people live, how you know them, what they need, what they can help with, groups, families, notes, dates, and your history with them.
• Your profile: your name, photo, state, and what you can help with and could use help with.
• Chat messages you send to the assistant and its replies.
• Your answers to the questions the app asks you, and anything you write with them. They go to the person who makes the app.
• How the app is used: which screens and buttons your account uses, as a name and a time, and any error the app runs into (the message, the screen, the app version and the browser).
• Requests you post on the "Ask for something" board, and your votes. Other members see the words of a request, not who wrote it.
• Technical records: server logs with IP addresses, for security.

No other company collects information through this app about what you do on other websites. The front page uses one cookie of its own to remember which version of the page you saw.

Who sees what

What you write about someone is shown only to you. A person in your map who joins the app can choose to share some of their own details, such as what they need, what they can help with and their birthday, with the members who have them in their map.

If you turn on "Let other members see my profile", members see your state and how many people you know.

Friends. When you and another member agree to be friends, each of you sees counts from the other's map: how many of their people can help with a kind of thing your people need, and how many of their people need a kind of thing your people can help with. Counts of people who need something show from three up. Either of you can end it in Connect.

When you share the app from Connect, the link's preview shows your first name and, if you added one, your photo, to anyone who has the link.

You are responsible for what you record about others. Keep it to what you would be comfortable with them reading. Do not record health, religion, politics, orientation, or immigration status about anyone unless they told you and would not mind.

The assistant

When you use the assistant, your message and the parts of your map it needs are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude model, to be understood and answered. You give permission the first time you use it, and you can withdraw it in Settings.

Who else handles the data

• Supabase stores the database, photos and the daily backups.
• Railway runs the server.
• Stripe holds your plan: your email and the card you add.
• Anthropic processes chat messages, only with your permission.
• Resend delivers the app's emails.
• Have I Been Pwned checks a new password against passwords already leaked elsewhere. Only the first five characters of a scrambled copy are sent.
• Google, only if you connect Google Contacts to import your own contacts.

Where it lives and how long

Data is stored in the United States. Everything in your account is kept while you have the account. When you delete your account, everything is removed 30 days later, photos included. Each daily backup is kept for 30 days, so the last copy that held your account is gone 30 days after that.

Your choices

• Change your own details on your profile.
• Turn off the assistant in Settings.
• Delete your account from Settings; it removes everything.

You must be 16 or older to have an account.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes.
